In those first months, Jim walked bar-to-bar with a briefcase full of beer that he called Samuel Adams Boston Lager, in recognition of one of our nation's great founding fathers, a revolutionary man of independent mind and spirit.
In the interest of a more consumer friendly bottle code, 2015 will see us switch from using a Julian code to indicate the day on which beer was bottled to simply sharing information in the following standard format: LMMDDYY HHMM BBT BEST BY MM/DD/YYYY The top line (beginning after the letter “L” which stands for “lot”) will indicate the date and time that beer was bottled.
“BBT” will be replaced by a letter (A-F) which informs you from which bright beer tank the beer was packaged.
